Great bag for organized people, or people who wish they were organized
I got the Gemini Mini back in October, but I wanted to put it through its paces before writing a review. The TL;DR version: I love it!
First thing's first. I'm blind, and bottomless pit bags are my nemisis. I'm always on the hunt for a bag with plenty of pockets, a zippered top, at least 2 carrying styles, and enough room for all of my stuff and my guide dog's stuff for a busy day out. The Gemini Mini ticks these boxes.
The side pockets fit my Brumates (a 25-ounce tumbler for coffee and a 35-ounce bottle for water, neither with handles) nicely. I was able to fit a 40-ounce tumbler with handle in one of the pockets, but it was a tight fit, and I don't recommend it. The side pockets fit a 25-ounce tumbler with handle just fine, though.
In the front zip pocket, I generally keep my wallet, phone, earbuds, a few pickup bags, and a couple other small items, and there's room to spare. Sometimes, my sunglasses (which have a bulky case) live in this pocket, and sometimes they live in the main compartment.
Speaking of the main compartment, it's quite spacious. Sometimes, I keep my Ara clutch in there. It can also hold my braille display, folders, a brush, and dry shampoo. It can also hold an emergency telescoping white cane and an umbrella. The tech sleeve simultaneously fits my iPad Air and Macbook Air (although I don't recommend doing that too often).
I'm able to use the 4 inner pockets to categorize small items. For example, one of the large slip pockets holds cables, chargers and a power bank. My dog has her own pocket with more pickup bags, a foldable water bowl, a clicker, a gentle leader and a lint roller. Her pocket is one of the elastic ones. The other elastic pocket has meds, bandaids, N95 masks, and a couple other first aid items. Finally, the other large slip pocket holds mints, lip balm, hand lotion, hand sanitizer, a hair clip and some hair ties, and a pocket knife (because you never know).
The back magnetic snap pocket works well as a trolley sleeve, and it can hold a few items, as long as they're not bulky.
I love how easy it is to convert from a shoulder bag to a backpac. Most of the time, I wear the bag crossbody, but on days where I'll be walking a lot, or travel days, I wear it as a backpack.
The bag's materials feel high quality and sturdy. I'm not afraid of any of the hardware breaking at an inopportune time. I will say that one of the feet on the bottom of the bag fell off immediately upon opening my shipment, but I was able to reattach it, and it hasn't fallen off since.
Overall, I'm impressed with the quality of my Gemini Mini, and it was exactly what I was looking for when it comes to organization and versatility. There are times when I wish the bag was a little less bulky, for days when I don't have to carry a lot. But that's what the Camille is for, right?
