Works
I want to change from chemical to fully natural hair colour products, for my own scalp sake, for environment sake. I knew the paste would look like a cow pad (you can watch videos done by that company) and my hair like after a 'tough mudder' competition. I have white strands within dark blond. Covered my 'mud' with a plastic cap (rinse, reuse) and a towel. After two hours needed paper towels as some points in neck and side area started to become runny. Easily stopped. I could stand it for 4.5 hours and do household chores. I conditioned, shampooed, conditioned (make sure you use no '-oxane' PFAS ingredients at all and no '-one' silicone ingredients at least not on scalp. I often mix my own conditioners and shampoos.) Fantastic. It coloured the white hair yellowish, as expected, as shown on package. Often chemical colours did not cover my whites. It is known you need to use natural colour 4 times in order to get the full depth. If I think then it is too light (natural dark blond), I will give 'honey' a try. The smell was and is like chamomile, grassy, herbal, straw, I like that. (I added lavender oil, more spice like nutmeg -there is a spice sachet in the package- and fresh aloe vera gel from my plant to the mud mix)

Nice product
Beautiful colour with a strong reddish and sometimes yellowish tone. Originally I had blond hair and it was quite a change for me. But it was totally worth changing from harsh chemicals to a natural product after suffering from shingles in my face including the hair line. Hair feels very soft and looks healthy. The colour fades after about 1 week and my blond hair comes out again.. I dyed them again and just fell in love with the darker tones. As far as I understand, the product can be used as often as needed. The only downside is that it has got a strong smell of hay and I'm still trying to find a solution for that.

Will try a darker shade next time.
I have tried several shades of Desert Shadows, and decided to try sun shadow, but it only had a mild effect on my hair as I have mostly medium brown hair with some grey, so next time I will use the honey shade.
