Not for the shorties

I'm 5 ft/152cm tall (105 lbs) and I am super sad to say that I wouldn't recommend this piece to folks who are petite, particularly because of the built-in shorts. The distance from the waistband (which is sewn to the dress) to the crotch is too long for my body — the crotch of the shorts falls below where it should on me. With regular shorts, I'd just pull the waistband up, but this is not possible here, obviously. I could theoretically pull the crotch of the shorts up and have it be a little bunched up around my abdomen, but… …that brings me to my other problem. Unlike more traditional GF fabrics, the material of the dress is very thin. This is good for flexibility and keeping cool, but it means that every wrinkle of the shorts or the bra underneath is very very visible underneath the thin fabric. The pockets of the shorts are also often visible through the skirt. Even just the contours of your body are pretty visible, to be honest. In GF's defense, I did get this in the light pink color — maybe the wrinkles would not have been so apparent in black. But this is the reason I'm giving it 3 stars. P. S. Girlfriend, us shorties would love more petite-friendly options!
