love these shoes

I love these shoes. The color and the water resistance are both great. What would make me even happier is if both were available in Model 001!

A little stiff

My comparison is Rothy’s and I would say that these shoes felt a little stiff and not as padded, but the water resistant fabric is a nice touch.

A good fit but some initial quality issues

I've been a big fan of the Model 000's for years, having purchased and worn several pairs. This colorway is one of my favorites they've done and between this and the mulberry options, I hope this signals some bolder and more interesting color choices from Atoms. The waterproofing is certainly an added bonus, as I live in the Pacific Northwest and rain is a regular element to consider. Unfortunately, the shipping, unboxing, and initial experience were not too great. These took over a month to ship and I feel that the only reason I got them before Christmas was because I emailed them to ask about it. When I did receive the shoes, one of the aglets on the left shoe had been completely ripped off and a chunk of the shoelace had been embedded inside the sole of the shoe's interior, which I didn't notice until I put the shoe on to test the fit. I had to employ some scotch tape to create a new temporary aglet just to guide the lace back through the hole when I tried them on. Once I got them laced, obviously the elastic laces means you shouldn't need to re-tie them ever again, but the frayed lace looks pretty bad and the fact that it's shorter just looks pretty bad. The shoe itself feels a tad more snug than the other Model 000s I've gotten but I'm giving it some time to break in.
