Roseform Pastel Mix Begonia
I am still learning how to grow begonias successfully. The first year I couldn't get them to bloom. I ordered about 27 tubers and 4 bloomed. I have since learned that they take a long time to start to grow. I probably threw out good tubers b/c I thought they were no good. Then I discovered by accident that they will sprout when they have been consistently warm for a couple of months. When I received my begonias this year 2025 I kept them in the plastic w/ wood chips? they were shipped with. I put them in a large bowl in my dining room near an eastern facing window. To my delight they all sprouted! I planted them into quart containers (1 per container) and put them into my green house. B/c I am still establishing gardens around my property I didn't bring them all out of the greenhouse. The ones I left in the greenhouse were leggy and weak but with beautiful blooms. The ones I brought outside were strong with beautiful blooms - large blooms. The ones I left in full shade did not do well. The ones in sun/partial shade did really well. Next year they are all going to be amazing and beautiful!! I have ordered more as I am now preparing their garden spot for 2026.
