Great guitar and pricing. Top notch vendor support
It is a pleasure to give a review about the "Hand-Rubbed Solid Spruce Cutaway Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar" I recently purchased. At first glance, I love guitars that are of complete satin finish and this guitar immediately impressed me upon holding and playing it. The guitar is made of Spruce top and Mahogany on both the sides and back. Combination of these tone wood help the guitar produce a real romantic warm sound yet good treble due to its spruce top. The guitar is light weight and its sound is sonore, but not too loud, upon tuning it up. After about two hours in tune and playing, you can tell the guitar is holding up and opens up. The action is really low but no string buzzes. amazing! the bone saddle has a lot of material and tall but there will be no reason you would need to bring the saddle lower as the action has been low. This makes it easy for the fingers navigating on its fretboard. Depending on string preferences, you might want to install string gages that fit your playing styles. To me there is also no need to change gage. Each string and each note produce music that is loud uniformly. A rare find on guitars like this one and on this price range. Intonation is spot on. On any string, you can sound an open note that would sound equal to notes on their 12th fret as well as their harmonic sound. My guess would be that the guitars now-a-day are fret slotted by machine process (CNC) so the notes are well in tune all over the fretboard. That a big plus to guitar at this price range. The frets on this guitar are rounded on fret-ends so you absolute would love it as no feeling of sharp metal that would cut your fingers. As you might have read from its product description, the neck is of satin finish, so smooth feeling when you move your hand from begin to end along the neck. The neck is made of three pieces that are glued together, with an 'ebony' line at the center along of the neck. This kind of neck production you would normally find on high end classical guitars. This also add strength against neck curving, concave or convex. The neck is narrow to my liking and it is easy to form and hold chords. This guitar has an adjusting rod that help keep the neck adjustable to its specifications. The mahogany wood would give warmer tones. Overall design features, lining, perforation, rosette inlaid are simple, but elegant. There is no electronics. The tuners hold the notes well. The guitar comes with a carrying bag, strap, tuners, a thin pad scratch protector, and picks... About the sellers: very responsive to your questions and any issues that I have had were promptly responded to and action was promptly taken. I am rather close to their warehouse so all my orders, although very promptly shipped, did come in the next day. I had a couple returns out of a total purchase of 14 guitars over the past 2 years, were handled timely and satisfactorily. Great vendor/on-line venue to purchase from. I would strongly recommend this store and this guitar.
