The design of this product is straight up, unthoughtful. It adds way too much length to my already low showerhead on top of that, my showerhead has two parts and removing it is not a simple task, which is something you're supposed to do every time you have to change the filter. While the filtration itself seems nice, the poorly thought out design of this thing really kills it for me. I will not be buying replacement filters and will be searching for a different brand that has a more thoughtful design.

Much harder to install than we were led to believe. In theory, the FilterBaby is very easy to install. In reality, our new-construction shower arm required an additional gasket/washer to get the unit to fit properly—and even after that, it still leaks. The bigger concern is that the filter needs to be changed every 2–3 months, which means dealing with the same installation and leaking issue every time. The filtration concept is great, but the installation system needs improvement. I’d be interested the development a filter-change cartridge that doesn’t require plumbing skills every 2–3 months.
