I recently bought a set of Extreme Skid Plates for my 2025 OBW. I opted to purchase the M8 washers for the transmission plate with the feeling that should I hit a hard object that this Extreme Washer will add more strength to the protective plate and thus further protect the underbody of my vehicle.

Nice addition with one minor gripe

These are a nice addition. More substantial, in a good way, then I imagined. The only minor drawback as mentioned by another reviewer is they do not accept a standard 13mm socket for US M8 standard bolt heads. I've heard that JIS M8 bolt heads are a smaller size that accept a 12 mm socket, but I feel it's a bit of an annoying oversight/design choice given the ready availability of US metric bolts--Im curious what bolts come with Rallitek's own skid plates. Oh well, I ended up just using a grinder to thin the walls on a 13mm socket so it would fit to tighten the fasteners.

Great addition

These are a great way to protect your bolt heads, and look awesome at the same time. PLEASE NOTE BEFORE YOU BUY: The most common head size for M8 bolts is 13mm. Guess what size socket doesn't fit inside these washers to tighten a bolt head or nut? 13mm. A 12mm fits perfectly. I had to find 12mm flanged nuts and a 10mm flanged bolt to fit inside the pocket. Pretty annoying, but that's show biz.
