Get One!
Loving the bike. It’s set up as a single speed and it is very light and fun to ride around on. Can’t wait to put many more smiles and miles on it!

All you probably, realistically, need.
Over the years, my bikes have gotten more progressive, while the trails I ride have stayed the same. My big revelation with the PBJ is this: if your terrain is old-school East Coast—tight, twisty, rocky hiking trails—there’s no better tool than a rigid mountain bike. Climbing is fun again. And the descents never stop being fun, even if they’re a touch slower. Where I ride, terrain and trail tightness dictate speed far more than suspension travel or outright stability. Compared to the bigger bikes that have filled my garage in recent years, the PBJ feels incredibly lively and responsive. This bike is a return to simply joyful riding—minimal maintenance, maximum connection to the trail, and a renewed appreciation for just how good-looking a bike can be. I love it.

What great fun
For the last several years I've been regretting selling a beloved Surly Krampus. Purchasing the PBJ was meant to remedy this dumb decision, and (no surprise) it's done that and more . . . the PBJ is a riot to ride in the woods. As so many reviewers have said, the frame is light (enough) and comfortable and begging to be ridden. I'm impressed by the durable paint, smart cable routing, generous stack, rear dropouts, and versatility of the geometry (with two wheelsets you could have a bike for every occasion). Adam was a pleasure to do business with, and please take whatever advice he might offer on frame sizing, and give the handlebars a try.
