Yes you can skate on this.

It is pretty much as shown. You can skate and shoot on it. Goes together easily. My little goalie can't slide on it in pads tho. It lacks that slickness.

LOVE IT AS AN OFF SEASON OPTION

MY KIDS SPEND HOURS ON THE SYNTHETIC ICE PLAYING AND PRACTICING. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR AN OPTION OFF SEASON, THESE TILES ARE A GREAT CHOICE AND THEY WERE SUPER EASY TO ASSEMBLE. THE 10-15 MINS EACH DAY MADE A DIFFERENCE IN THEIR PLAY.

These are GREAT tiles. Worth the extra price. We had some ones from a different company prior to and they dont move the puck like these ones... they are perfect. Already both my kids games have improved!
