The plates appear to be well made. I just noticed a small gouge out of one of the 8 plates I received - looks like something that happened at the factory, and not a shipping issue. This shouldn't affect the plate's long term use. However, I've had them for a week now and the weight room still has a heavy rubber smell. I was expecting no odour! I haven't aired them outside yet, because were having a January cold snap. Hopefully, the bad odour won't last long. I bought the plates for noise reduction, not because I do any olympic lifting , and - other than the smell - I am satisfied with my purchase.

Bumper Plates

awesome plates that seem like they will last forever. A little oily from shipping/manufacture but I was able to clean them with dish soap and warm water without issue. Looking forward to using them for a long time!
