MY EDC
I bought the R&D Trail Goat. I liked it so much I bought another one when they released it. I use it as my EDC. Small and fits in my pocket without being bulky.

Lightweight Perfection
Great lightweight utility knife, strapping inverted to strap, hold is great disappears until you need it. Great all rounder for light and even medium tasks... great wood carver too..

Great Horizontal Weak Side Carry Blade
With the hottest part of summer upon us in Virginia, it’s nice to have a bombproof minimalist fixed blade that easily carries midline weak side horizontally. Parked underneath a camp shirt while sporting shorts, the blade doesn’t print, but is quickly accessible in reverse grip, non-dominant side and employed to fend off anyone closing to bad breath distance while keeping the dominant hand free.
This won’t be mistaken as a utility blade as the ergos and triangular blade profile make it a great stabber, albeit without enough edge for much more that light paring duties, but that’s to be expected given this knife’s role. I’m looking, moreover, for a horizontal mounting solution that leaves the knife riding higher that I can manage with the Ulticlip, but those quibbles speak more to my unique preferences than any design issue. However, when looking to roll light while still having an ultra-reliable piece of purpose built Magnacut steel easily accessible to either hand, the Trail Goat is difficult to beat.
