Gozney Gen 2 Dome Pizza Oven

Great Experience

I spent a long time researching outdoor pizza ovens and kept going back and forth between an Ooni at about half the cost and the Gozney Dome Gen 2. I came across BBQ Generals while trying to find a better price since I was already pushing my budget. They offered a 10% military discount, which I really appreciated, and I also didn’t have to pay sales tax. That ended up saving me over $500 on the full purchase. Delivery Delivery went smoothly overall. I placed the order on April 1st and it arrived April 9th. The delivery company called ahead and gave me a time window, which I liked since it’s curbside delivery and I didn’t want it left out on the street. The only hiccup was the driver almost unloading it at my neighbor’s house, but I caught it in time. Everything arrived well packaged, in good condition, and nothing was missing. Assembly Assembly was mostly straightforward, but not perfect. I had a tough time attaching the top of the stand because a couple of the bolt holes just would not line up, and a few others were pretty stubborn. Getting the oven onto the stand is definitely a two person job. It’s heavy, the stand is tall, and the lift is awkward. I was a little surprised that the oven is secured to the stand by just a single bolt in the center, but it seems solid. I also added the dome mantel, which was simple and only took a couple of bolts. Overall, the process was still fairly easy. Cooking I have not made a pizza yet, just ran it to burn off the factory oils, but I have no doubt it’s going to make great pizza.
