I wasn't sure I needed this when I bought by Patio Legend 400 but I'm sure glad I did! It is a great addition to the grill. Should probably be standard with this style of grill. Works great and very well made.

After five years with my Road Warrior and no shelf, I'd been making do with the top of the pellet chamber as my workspace. Trays didn't fit, and moving food to the grill was awkward and often messy. When I got my DualFire, I decided to add the front folding shelf—and now I'm wondering why I waited so long. It's incredibly helpful and makes the whole cooking process smoother. If you're on the fence, just get it. Total game changer.
