Merino High Waisted Underwear

Wanted to love these, but the stitching irritated my waist

I own a lot of SM pieces and was prepared to switch from cotton to merino undies. I am a 31-32" waist and 39-40" hip. Before investing in a set I bought a size small and medium to test which would work better before buying a big batch to replace my cotton undies. According to the chart and as recommended I would be a medium but I chose the small because the medium gaped at my bottom bum cheek (not much of a bum here.) I got 7 pairs of smalls after the initial couple days of wearing one pair and liking the fit. I then started wearing two pairs over a week and after that length of time a ring of eczema patches developed along my front and side waistline. The exposed serger stitching does not work at all for my skin at the waist. I hope SM can improve the design of these undies. Perhaps just folding over the serged fabric at the waist and running a straight stitch would be a better finish so customers don't feel all that stitching at the sensitive waist spot. I had also tried the swim bottoms as I'd read that others prefer them for underwear. At try on I felt they would be too thick to wear as regular underwear but given my experience I'd go back to trying a few of those instead as the elastic at the waist is fully encased and I don't recall there being a ton of exposed serger stitching.

We started wearing Simply Merino clothes 9 years ago, and recommend it to all our friends. Excellent quality, super soft, and beautiful too! These are the only underwear my daughter will wear now 😊

The only underwear I ever want to wear!

10/10 I highly recommend!! I was nervous to try them at first due to cost, the high waisted (granny pantie) and the thought of wool underwear. My daughter convinced me as did all the positive reviews. So I originally bought 4 pairs over a year ago and I LOVE them!! They don't give me wedgies, they feel so supportive yet zero dig in or compression which is wild, they are amazingly odour resistant and moisture wicking, cool in the summer, warm in the winter. They are the only underwear I ever want to wear! I recently purchased two new colours to wear under white light clothes and they are invisible unlike the darker hues. So far all the colours are so rich 😍. This skeptic is now a believer!! I wear XL, 5'6", 230 lb, hourglass shape. I have also fluxed in weight between 180-230 without the need for a different size!! I followed the measurement guide.
