My current purchase is a great fit. I bought a pair last year, Make Waves Blue 7 ", but I bought a small size since my waist was 30 inches at the time. I found them a little too tight in the seat. I should have returned them, but never did. So I rarely wear them, which is a shame.
The new camo sorbet shorts I bought this year are in a medium with a 7-inch inseam. I wear them for open-water swimming, and on the beach, they're perfect!! I have beachgoers asking me where I bought my trunks! (women looking to buy them for their husbands). Might get them in the purple camo! Great brand, great quality!
