Glad they sell these separately, and they seem to have improved this skimmer. This one works better than the one it replaced which regularly sank.

Definitely saves the nano species

Shrimp can still make their way through but you need to allow flow to use this properly so making the holes any smaller wouldn't skim properly. They go right back into the tank anyways. It did save a Chili Rasbora and probably more when I wasn't looking. The original skimmer cost me a couple otos because they couldn't exit at the bend but since using this, nothing fish related has been able to get in.
