Magnolia Mini Dress

Disappointed

I fell in love with this dress online and looked forward to receiving it. I am 5’8” 150lbs (38-32-42) and ordered the Medium. I will say that the fabric is wonderful and I LOVED that it’s 100% cotton, including the lining. Many companies ruin wonderful warm weather cotton dresses by lining them in a synthetic fabric. The quality of the sewing is very high with lovely detailing and well taken care of, this dress should last many years. However, the style was what didn’t work for me. Looking straight on it falls narrowly on the sides, but the side view was an entirely different story: below the bust seam it went straight out like a tent. I’m a B cup and the feel of the bust line was comfortable and not excessively roomy so I believe I had the correct size. I just couldn’t pay over $200 for a dress that I didn’t feel was flattering. In addition, there are no free returns and so I paid $15 to return it with insurance. Not sure if I’ll try this company again or not.

Not Made for Petite Frames

This dress is gorgeous. Fabric is soft and light, and the style is classic - sexy and modest, all at the same time. Color is a perfect creamy white, too. I am 5'1", 120 pounds, 34D for reference. I typically wear a small so I went with an XS and expected to still need some alterations. But it was HUGE on me, as in no alterations could have made it better. Both the torso and the skirt were entirely too long, it was way too loose in the chest, and there was entirely too much fabric in the skirt for my short frame. I'm so sad, but will be returning. This dress is stunning and would look amazing on a taller person!

Bought this for my daughter-in-law and it looks so pretty on her! Highly recommend.
