7 Wonders Dice

Excellent reworking of the original

7 Wonders Dice is a quick, portable version of the original 7 Wonders game, and it does a fantastic job of distilling some of the best stuff from the larger game. It's fun and quick, but with enough strategy to keep you coming back and enough luck to make it fun and unpredictable. There's a little bit of interactivity in that you are racing to finish certain areas or get access to special dice, so it's not just a group solitaire game like many roll & writes. The production quality is great and there's a fun mechanic with rolling the dice in the "Forum" (a box with a lid) to determine the costs players have to pay to use each die. Highly recommend this one.

A new take on an old classic.

If you're a fan of the old Seven Wonders this one should fill a void for you as well. It's a way to speed up the gameplay and introduce Seven Wonders an easier way. Having the the rolling dice every turn and everybody get to getting the choose instead of being stuck to the mercy of the cards makes this one a little more enjoyable. That being said, people who are good at calculating and can min/max well may have a slight advantage here.

New fave

Even if you know nothing about 7 wonders, you can play this game with ease. So fun. Components are fantastic. However I do prefer a dry erase over the wax pensils they give.
