Worked good. Durable material. Zippers a little hard to zip at first with waterproofing material around but should wear in well. Smaller than anticipated but perfect for hiking 14’er. Prevented me from taking more than I needed. Used exactly 3L of water up and down the mountain (Quandary Peak). If hot or longer hike 4L would have been right. The design requires that the clips don’t crack or break for the upper pouch which is a little worrisome but seems relatively durable and I fit my raincoat rolled up behind that pouch and adjusted the straps. Looked at all sorts of backpacks and for the price this was a solid choice. 24L to 28L may be slightly more ideal for a guy my size 6’3”, 250lb, primarily cause it looks a little small, like Tommy Boy in Richard’s coat. But it worked perfectly for a day hike. Nice that you could hid straps behind you if you wanted to use as a normal backpack where the expensive osprey and other versions have the pads that come out and prevent that. Pads on straps could be nice in certain situations but I had a t-shirt and polyester quarter zip and the belt didn’t rub on me at all. Water bag did get a bit hot towards end of trip, probably similar issue with all the bags.

Well constructed with sturdy fabric, the fit is excellent and comfortable, plenty of of pockets for storage, I was amazed at the high quality and fit for the price, 5 Stars
