I do not know, really.
I have not had the experience of "genuine" tandoor cooking, but I do use this blend quite often in my pan-fried dishes.

Best Tandoori blend on the market
Bought this first in a local store.. .but they stopped carrying it. Took me awhile to find you guys but I will be buying more stuff soon. This blend is just awesome.
