ZWO ASI2600MC Pro USB 3.0 Colour Cooled Camera (ASI2600MC-P25)

Nice upgrade!

I also have the older mono version of this camera, the P25 release has some nice touches! The same awesome Sony IMX571 sensor but now the option to run gain at -25. This extends the well depth to 73K, making it easy to grab star clusters without saturating star cores and losing their colour. Higher read noise so you have to expose longer subs to swamp read noise of course. The matte finish is really nice! You can also run the fan at half speed and turn off the power LED if desired. The fan is also buried deeper inside the camera behind the inlet slots. Hopefully this makes the camera less likely to get clogged with mosquito bodies? Overall I’m very happy with the purchase, the upgrades ZWO has done and as usual, All-Star made it happen quickly!

This camera is worth every penny. Easy to set up and use, delivering great images. Highly recommended!!

A great deep space camera

I am using this camera to replace a modified Canon DSLR on my Celestron EdgeHD 8” SCT. I shoot galaxies and nebula and this camera has a similar FOV but greatly reduces noise. I am shooting F/10 and F/7 (with reducer) and will also use this camera with my William Optics RedCat 51 when a much wider field of view is needed. I bought the ZWO AC to DC Adapter (ZWO-DC12V5A) as well and this works flawlessly.
