Evenheat Ceramic Kiln - RM II 1813

So excited - first firing in the kiln

Very pleased to with our Evenheat Ceramic Kiln - RM II 1813 from Soul Ceramics. It arrived more quickly than we could arrange an electrician to set up a NEMA 6-30 outlet for it . Did a first heat a couple of days ago, and then the first firing yesterday of a few pieces yesterday. It's awesome and feels like really good quality. We are noobs at this so looking forward to fun learning

The kiln arrived exactly on the day the shipper said it would and the delivery guy wheeled it to where I wanted it to be. My son came and put the stand together and was impressed with the quality of the kiln and stand. We were disappointed with the one part that was packaged separately, the Vent master. but my son said he could make it work by drilling some holes and installing it but thought since the kiln will be used inside a very well ventilated area in my hobby shop we probably did not need to install it. He is going to get another plug since the outlet does not match the plug on the kiln. I guess I over bought but if I keep the vent and when my kids have the job of getting rid of all my "toys" they can sell the vent with the kiln after my demise.
