I really don’t understand why more guys don’t use Gliss. I use the 8# for salmon casting and jigging. Gliss outcasts everyone on the pier by far and if a king so much as looks at my spoon, I feel it. I just wish Ardent would bring back the white, 8#. But, if I have to decide between pink Gliss and any other brand; I’m going with pink!!

Gliss Monotex

Great casting line. It will really send your lures waaaay out there. It’s fairly strong line, but one has to keep an eye on it as over time it does start to fray. This is common with about any line so it isn’t a deal breaker. Other than that, I really like it and it is super sensitive and I felt every strike, no matter how small.

Effortless casting but...

The casting is effortless and a flip of the wrist will place the line a good 60ft. After a few casts the line between sinker and hook once it gets abrasions while still a strong line likes to start twisting and knotting around the sinker, split shot or clam. You eventually spend more time untangling or cutting in favor of new hook and sinker. I fish a rocky river in the Rockies, line may last longer fishing from less rugged waters and not have these issues.
