Barrier Guard Feeder Perch Accessory

Very nice, heavy, stainless perches. I set them with the seam down so they don't fill with rain, and later, ice in the winter time. Strong enough where large birds and squirrels will still try to feed. I thought, I'd need a baffle, but squirrels just give up after falling off. The perches add balance, where the cup stays filled after the cage rights it's self. All in all, the entire setup is a very worthy perchase. Happy!

I originally wondered if this perch was too large or wouldn't be beneficial to the birds however, I'm really glad we ordered it. It was easy to install on our feeder, and a lot of the little birds seem to appreciate having a place to perch prior to diving into one of the open spaces in the grid around the feeder. Sometimes they seem to sit there and wait for a spot to open up inside the feeder. For the bigger birds, their weight starts the feeder to swing and tilt too much, and it tosses them off the perch. Pole mounting the feeder might be a different issue though. For our use this perch has worked out exactly as we had hoped.
