The shave stand is slim and tasteful in appearance. However, the Gillette Mach 3 razor is not designed properly to hold securely in the U shape of the holder. It is the Gillette Mach 3 design which has a wide V shape coming down from the blade that caused it to slip right thru. Time to look for a better razor
