Beautiful dress! Straps had to be altered so that it wasn't as long, but other than that it's a wonderful item! The bows are cute; I like that it could be removed for those that don't like it (I liked it on me).

Careful! different size and style than other fabrics

The Alex Dress in velvet has a different silhouette than in chiffon. The velvet has an empire waist, while the chiffon (and it appears other fabrics) are a drop waist. This wasn't clear in the pictures and I found the empire waist to be very unflattering. Also, the sizing between the velvet and the chiffon is vastly different. The velvet L was just slightly too big and the L in chiffon wouldn't zip half way up.

Poor quality and fit - I think this describes this brand over all

The dress feels and looks quite cheep. Would have felt that $50. 00 was a more a appropriate price for the quality of the make and material. A little sad I will need to wear this for my friends wedding, but it is the chosen dress. I also don't thing another dress with this brand would have been any better as many we in the bridal party are all in different dresses and they all seem to be of poor quality and fit.
