I tried the thunderpant from a friend before buying it because. After using it in an heavy rainfall for hours during an ultracycling event, I bought myself an own one. Totally recommend that one, keeps you dry and fits perfectly. Not to tight for cycling, not to loose for feeling like a ballon. I bought it in my regular trouser size.

Solid Investment

I am so glad I spent the money on my 7Mesh Thunder pants. I do a 40 minute urban commute to work on Vancouver Island and needed rain pants that could handle downpours, keep my clothes dry, and feel comfortable. I bought a size Small; I'm 5'6" and 130 lbs, and the small is a great fit. They felt the tiniest bit tight around my knees when I first wore them but now feel perfect. I really liked the brown color and I'm glad I went with it, they look great and slightly different from your typical black rain pant. The fit around the waist is great, they go high enough in the back to handle splashes. I love the bottoms and actually haven't trimmed the hem, I keep it long as I like to have the bottom of the pants go over my rain boots or shoes. My only quibble (which other reviewers have mentioned) is that the waist straps are a tiny bit fiddly - you definitely need some finger dexterity to thread the straps through the plastic clasps. Perhaps future designs could tackle this. Regardless, I absolutely love my pants and will be looking to expand my 7mesh collection in the future.
