Honest review

3 BIG pro's: * The light-set looks spectacular! (5 stars) * The quality of the sounds is better than expected (considering the small chip and tiny speaker!) (5 stars) * Customer service is flawless (5 stars) Some small con's: * Online instructions could have been just a little bit more clear/better. I rerouted some wires a little bit so they would be hidden slightly better. Also you will have to slightly reroute the kitchen wires if you want to be able to remove the roof+kitchen so you can still access the basement with the pretty furnace. (3.5 stars) * The set does not have magnetic connections between floors, so once the lights are installed you can not really separate the floors anymore (2 stars) * The instructions do not tell you what connectors go to what port on the pcb, eventhough there are distinct sounds that the numbered buttons on the remote I.M.O. should connect to. Eg: Button 5 is the sound of a carengine starting; this should be connected to... the van obviously. Plugging and unplugging the tiny fragile connectors resulted in 1 of them breaking. (3.5 stars) Regarding that last point: HOW TO CONNECT YOUR WIRES -------------------------------------------------- With the board facing you, and the connectors pointing up, the port-numbers from RIGHT TO LEFT are 1 to 8. Note that only the first 5 are used. (the 3 leftmost remain unconnected). #1: Front o/t house wired through the bottom #2: House windows. Wire that comes out the center-back #3: The kitchen (tv sound) #4: Treehouse #5: Blue van (car sound) All in all, 4 stars. I do not regret buying this expensive set. But its not perfect.

Home alone Christmas edition

Great kit, lots of lights, will be a awesome supplement to the Christmas village 2026 and later. I would actually give this set a 4,5 but half a star was no option. The reason for not giving 5 star is the wires are a bit to thick to make the Lego blocks fit perfectly after, not a really big deal, cam hardly see it, but still. Also, I miss text in the instructions, some of the pics are hard to figure out, this due to "background noise" in those pics. Shipping takes a cpl of days longer than this page says, about 12-14 days for meg in Norway, and always tax on these sets. Not much, but the cost is 3-times due to the fee from the custom services. But in all, recommend this kit and the house looks great! 😁

Looks Nice, But...

Video instructions were terrible! Most of the stuff done in the video is from a mile away or blocked by the installers hand. There is also one step where they have you run a power wire down the outside wall on the basement building. Seemed sloppy the have an exposed wire there. Once I suffered through all that the final product looks really nice! And the price was reasonable.
