These clamps are unique among homebrew equipment outlets in that they have a smooth band of stainless that encircles the hose completely when tightened, resulting in a gentler grip on soft silicone hoses than the usual clamps with exposed worm tracks that tend to gouge the hose material and shorten its lifespan. This is important to me because I usually loosen the clamps and remove the hoses from my brew structure after each session for cleaning and drying. Stainless keys are also a plus.
