I usually wear a M or L and had to size up for an XL just for it to zip around my ribcage, and even then it’s tight but technically works! Plus, there are less layers of fabric and less free space to do alterations with. I’ve had multiple dresses from another online bridesmaids dress site, and my alterations person has had a better experience with those, I’ve never had to return it for a different size, and they’re cheaper. The dress itself I like, but if I can avoid it I won’t be using this company again.

The dress was great, but very long for someone 5’4”. It had to be altered, so there’s that additional cost to factor in. Also the V neck is deeper in person than it appears in the photo. Overall though, a lovely dress. Nice quality and the color was great, just as it appears in the photo. Birdy Grey might consider offering a petite option.
