Superclamp

Superclamp + Supershort on my KTM 1390 Super Duke R – absolutely worth it

I’m 172 cm tall, so getting properly comfortable with the height of the 1390 Super Duke R was always a bit of a challenge. After talking with Eric, I ended up fitting the Superclamp with the +4 insert, Supershort and raising the forks 10 mm through the clamps. The result was honestly better than I expected. The bike now feels lighter, more neutral and much easier to place exactly where I want it. Turn-in is more precise, but it still feels stable and predictable. It doesn’t feel nervous or overly aggressive — just much more natural. The lowering has been just as important for me. I feel far more secure at low speed, when stopping and moving the bike around, and that extra confidence makes the whole bike more enjoyable to ride. Eric recommended the +4 insert as a starting point, and for my riding I think he absolutely nailed it. I don’t ride track — I just wanted a Super Duke that felt easier, more confidence-inspiring and more “mine”. That’s exactly what I got. The installation also went very well. Eric’s instructions were detailed and easy to follow, and he was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. For me, this setup has made a genuine improvement to both handling and confidence. The bike now feels like it fits me, instead of me having to adapt to the bike. Huge credit to Eric for both the products and the support. Highly recommended.
