Used for deer hunting and shooting matches in the winter. Really nice, warm head wrap. We sat in a stand for 6 hours in almost zero degree weather. By the end I did have to throw my hood up along with it but my head was never really cold. Well worth the money.

Proximity Balaclava is loud.

I bought this to go with the proximity set for windy cold weather. It is warm and it fits excellent just like the rest of the proximity set. But just like the rest of the set, it is crinkly sounding with movement. When you put this on, all you hear is the crinkle sound in your ears with any movement of your head. Even though animals may not hear it, it’s all you can hear with any movement, so I only used it for about five minutes and I had to remove it. If they change the outer material to something quiet, it would be an excellent balaclava.

Cozy warm and wind proof

Nice and thick. Extremely warm and can verify it’s windproof. Was going about 20 mph in 0 degree weather and it kept my head warm! Only minor inconvenience is that it’s hard to breathe through if there’s no air flow.
