Hard for little heads

I bought this for my almost 7yr old to help her with shampooing her own hair and she said it was too hard. I tested it in my hand and it feels average for an adult scalp massager. I think for maybe a teen’s scalp it might be alright and definitely an adult, but not a younger child. I will keep and use it on my own scalp.
