Dakota Backpack in Ancho, Large

Love my new Dakota

I am loving my new DD piece! I couldn't decide between Dakota and Indi, and ultimately chose Dakota. Lots of pockets to store items and to keep organized. I went with the Large size so I could fit a large laptop or two in that dedicated pocket. Like other reviewers, the exterior side pockets are SMALL. You can only fit slim items or very small bottles - like my 200mL Hydroflask. I can fit my 12 oz Hydroflask with those external double elastics on one side as well. I feel that I need to be strategic on where I place items so I can get to them easily and be mindful of not overfilling the bag where the neoprene stretches or has a bulky shape to it. I went with a new colorway, Ancho, and in person I'm loving the Maroon vibes. It looks great when paired with my Landon Carryall in Camel. Hoping that the shade will wear well over time and will wash well when I need to do that.

I’ve been waiting on getting a large Dakota because I’ve loved my medium size and was interested to see how much more packing volume I could get with a large and I’m glad that I waited because I adore this maroon-brown Ancho color way for Spring/Summer 2026! I know I’m going to get non-stop compliments. I’m a compartment-lover so Dagne always holds me down - very pleased with the pockets and separate laptop sleeve. Can’t wait to put it to use on my next trip!

Literally the best travel / work back pack ever. So many pockets, easy to clean. Now i make my kids use this for their school backpack as well. Like it so much, inhsve multiple in different colors!
