Disappointing quality from Fibre Company

I purchased a skein of Tundra Bulky from Fibre Company in the color Peat and was disappointed by the noticeable decline in quality compared to previous batches. I have several skeins of the same yarn from about 10 years ago, and the difference is striking. The older skeins are significantly softer, loftier, and have a subtle sheen that gives the finished piece a richness and depth. In contrast, the new skein feels drier, less full, and lacks the same plushness that I expect from this quality yarn. They could easily be mistaken for entirely different yarns.
