I bought this bag back in January and was waiting to see how the bag would actually hold up while I was in school. Ive put this bag through a lot of weight and honestly its survived well. No rips or stains. The zippers are still in working. No strap tears or anything.
Personally, I don't carry a heavy load while using the longer clip on strap because I'm worried it'll wear down faster or give out on me, but thats a personally worry, not a fact. The bag itself is very much worth it.
If you do put a lot of weight in your bag though, be prepared for red marks on your shoulders. That just comes from the heavy load and the strap against your skin, but if you've got a coat on it buffers the friction.
