Blackstar Unity Bass 30W 1x8 Combo Amp

Great little amp. I was looking for a small practice amp for home use and was initially looking at the Blackstar Debut 25 but for an extra £50 this one does so much more. It certainly fulfils my practice amp needs, being small with a great sound but the addition of a line out makes it much more generally useful. The switchable input level makes it work well with both my passive bass and also my son’s active 5-string. I was amazed how much low end can be produced by an 8 inch speaker. It is loud enough for a small pub gig with a cajon player and although it would struggle with an enthusiastic drummer the line out means that the volume can be lifted further by the PA. It is also much lighter than a bass amp has any right to be!
