Hissy Fit and then... Joy

Our two rescue cats are gradually realizing how much they enjoy the fresh air and fun their 11'8" Premium Portable Catio affords. It took perhaps three (always supervised) sessions - building up from half an hour to an hour to an afternoon of nearby gardening for Luna and Sadie to realize this isn't a "time out" it's "time outside!" We've not yet had a chance to install more than basic scratching posts and pads, a large natural log and a sun-chair that helps us keep them company, but even so, we feel their lives are already greatly enriched by feeling the grass between their toe-beans and the wind tickling their noses. So why is this review titled Hissy Fit? Because the path to Joy was initially fraught with the inadequate paper instructions that came with this catio kit. Also, it really does take two people to set up this 11'8" structure - as the (very excellent) netting does tend to velcro itself to itself and the (necessarily stiff and sturdy) poles can be difficult for one person to connect unless a second pair of hands helps ensure they are lined up correctly in their protective sleeves. I will no doubt upgrade this wonderful catio's rating to 5 stars if/when Catnetting posts a professional, clear and useable assembly tutorial video at Youtube. Until then and even so, our family does indeed say thank you for this Four Stars experience and a very excellent investment in the quality of our feline family member's lives.

Loving the Catio

My beloved cat Fig spends time daily in his new catio- it was relatively easy to assemble, and I'm glad I added the hammock.!! Great product. Happy customer.

My Norwegian Forest Cat LOVES her new Catio

This is a wonderful solution for me and my new cat. She craves being outside BUT I strongly believe that cats need supervision for wildlife safety as well as their own. The netting is sturdy, the catio is well designed and easy to assemble. She has quickly learned that she will get to go into the catio when the dogs go out to take care of business first thing in the morning when there birds are busy and there is a lot to see. Now I need to add to the two hammocks with other play items, a hidey box, scratch pole, and fun ways for her to move between the hammocks.
