Sunbeam 58mm Bottomless Portafilter (Black/Rosewood)

A little experimentation.

Being a beginner it takes a little getting used to as you need consistent tamping pressure, the right grind setting & your grounds need to be evenly distributed otherwise you can get messy channeling with bottomless portafilters. Once dialled in though these portafilters will give you the best espresso shots you can achieve with your machine. I also like that the portafilter has no plastics in it, just good quality metal & wood as I am concerned about the long term potential effects of exposure to micro-plastic particles in our drinks.

Not what I was expecting

The portafilter doesnt seem to fit plush in the machine and will grip so much that the handle comes loose when fitting it into the machine to be used.
