High Diffusion Espresso Shower Screen - Breville

The Breville Bambino punches over its weight class and is one of the better buys in the low end market. But it didn't take a lab test to see the stock shower screen wasn't spreading the water out across the entire basket. Usually just one big stream in the middle of the coffee and one or two smaller ones. So the Pesado ad didn't have to sell very hard. Once installed, the difference was day and night. The Pesado shower is uniform. No big or little holes, just even water marks across the coffee puck. I was able to test it with the same beans I'd been using. The taste was immediately richer, and each cup more consistent. If you have a lower end Breville and want it to make higher end coffee, there's no question. Go Pesado.

Easy to install and improves extraction of Breville Twin Boiler machine. Stays cleaner than the Breville Espresso Shower Screen. Doesn't team as well with the single shot basket as it does with the double shot ones.

My Pesado 54HD espresso shower screen works well. I'm generally reasonably happy with the quality of espresso extraction from my Breville Barista Express. I would say that in hind sight I should have ordered the stainless steel diffusion disc to get better water flow. Unfortunately I'm unable to purchase a diffusion disc separately, which is a bit annoying.
