With the help of my good friend Michael, I successfully built my very first full loom cable system. Having experienced the difference cables can make in a system, but being cautious about overspending, I had pieced together my cabling gradually over time. Through The Listening Room, I was introduced to Viablue and became intrigued. First and foremost, the build quality is exemplary. The cables are substantial yet relatively flexible, and the connectors are among the best I’ve encountered. The banana plugs fit more snugly into my speaker binding posts than some "locking" plugs I’ve used. I added the cables to my system one set at a time, starting with the power cables. Almost immediately, I noticed more flow in the music, and the bass sounded slightly quicker—though I realize this could be subjective. What surprised me most was the reduction in background noise; with my ear to the speaker drivers, the background was completely silent. After wiring the entire system with Viablue cables, I let it run for two days before listening closely. Overall, compared to the cabling I replaced, Viablue brought an openness and richness to the sound—more revealing and with better tone and pace. It created a closer connection to the music. I believe this was a worthwhile upgrade that made sense with the components in my system.
