Wyred 4 Sound uLink-2 Review by Donovan Motilal

I originally purchased the Wyred 4 Sound uLink-2 simply to reduce USB noise coming from my PC. What I didn’t realize was just how transformative it would be to my system. My second Stax headphone amplifier had always sounded a bit sleepy when fed a USB signal from my Cary DAC. After inserting the uLink-2, everything changed. The Stax amp woke up immediately — clarity returned, tones were restored, and the presentation became effortless and engaging. The music became easier to listen to, even at lower volumes. I no longer felt the need to crank the system to enjoy it. Any noise that had been present simply vanished. Imaging improved dramatically: the artist was locked in center, the soundstage became more focused, gained height, and offered a noticeably wider sweet spot. Instruments and rhythm were easy to follow, and the overall presentation was far more natural and musical. The uLink-2 didn’t just clean up the signal — it elevated the entire listening experience. I can’t wait to hear what other products Wyred 4 Sound has to offer. This is clearly an excellent audiophile brand.
