Good Skin and Glue but stringers keep pulling off the side

Skin is nice and light and glue is good so far, however the straight side of the skin which didn't need to be cut has stringers which keep pulling and tearing off more material. Seems like the skins will eventually unravel as the side is already frayed and fraying each time I go out. Any suggestion on how to seal this up or cauterize it would be appreciated.

Clip fell off in back country

Skins themselves are great but the black clip that holds the skin on fell off in the backcountry and I had to do some serious fixing with a ski strap.
