This is my second pair of skins from G3and after dealing with the glue sticking to the bottom of my skis, the tip hooks constantly falling of the ski while installing and the tail hook being flimsy, the metal hook piece actually flew off once initiating a search in the snow by 3 of us, I modified them with black diamond tip and tail hooks and they ended working great! Unfortunately they mysteriously disappeared so I thought I’d try them again as they changed the tip hooks and fixed the glue problem I knew I could replace the tail hook and they were on sale! I like to remove the skins while my skis are on and now the tip hooks work so well that they are difficult to take off! The good news is that I also purchased a new pair of VIA carbon poles and they are by far the best designed back country poles I’ve ever had so thanks for that!

Performed well

Glue was excellent, improvement over my older G3 aplinest. Glide was also good. Grip I think could have been better but I did get them for the glide. Only complaint, the black clip on the tail piece fell has fallen off twice, will need to carry a extra just in case it's lost.

Minimist speed

It’s been awhile since I’ve used G3 skins. thought I’d try them again. So far I’m really enjoying them. Glue is good in the cold, yet easy to pull apart. Glide is very good. At times a bit slippery on hard steeper tracks. Yet I wanted a very glide like skin. Top clip works well, low profile. Tail clip is ok, works, stays put and is light. Skins are a nice light weight. Looking forward to seeing the longevity of the glue, so far good.
