2022 Xiaguan "Tibetan Flame" Ripe Pu-erh Tea Brick

I liked the taste of this pu-erh overall. It’s quite rich, deep and bright, with a nice saturated flavor that feels pretty pleasant after a few infusions. It has that warm, earthy pu-erh character, and the taste itself is definitely not boring. But one thing I didn’t enjoy that much is that the tea is very broken into small pieces. Because of that, there are a lot of crumbs, and when I pour it from the gaiwan into the cup, they often get into the tea. For me, it makes the experience a little messy, even though the flavor is still good.

Experimenting with different dark tea styles

This is the strongest smelling puerh tea that I have tried so far. The dry leaves have a pungent, barny scent. The tea is more mellow than the scent would indicate. I need to try it again and also experiment with preparations.

Great drinking tea!

Well balanced and more importantly well stored quality Pu-ehr tea. Earthy notes that you love in a good tea without any hints of fishieness that come with lower quality teas.
