Throwback 80 Sport 3-in-1 Jacket

Cold Weather GREAT!

I purchased this coat for severe weather conditions and that is what it is built for. It is NOT a light jacket or coat, this is a heavy, waterproof, and extremely warm coat. This is NOT for high physical activity level, this is for the cold blind, etc. It is windproof and I wore it during a blizzard last year and I was warm. I am hardly every warm anymore, but this coat is a true cold weather difference maker. It has tons of layers you can take off, but I have kept mine intact and wear it for the WORST occasions I have to face.

Absolutely LOVE it!!!

I bought this 3-in-1 jacket to replace the same jacket that I claimed when my son had a growth spurt and outgrew it after only 3 months. That happened SIXTEEN YEARS ago! The plastic zipper finally gave up about a month ago and I immediately checked out the Drake website, determined to find a replacement. Not only did I find the same jacket, it was a part of a huge clearance sale! I was ecstatic! This jacket has kept me warm in the brutalist of Minnesota winters, including THIS winter when the wind chills have reached -40° for days on end. During that time, I had to shovel my huge driveway several times with a brutal north wind raging and this coat kept me so warm that when I finished and went in the house, I had sweat running down my back like water after a shower, which was disgusting and required an immediate shower. 😁. I'm not a big gal, I'm 100 pounds, 5'4" tall., but I DO wear a heavy wool sweater, or a heavy hoodie, and sometime both at the same time, depending on the weather. I bought a size Medium and it fits perfectly, I don't feel " hung up" in it. I would highly recommend this jacket. I'm pretty confident that I'll get at LEAST 16 years out of this one as they've upgraded the former plastic zipper with a brass one!
