Healthy plants!

Strawberries were put in potting soil the day after they arrived. Very good success rate; 23 of 24 plants are putting out leaves. I consider that a success and appreciate the "extra" plants---good to see the sellers include them!

Growing right along!

I will admit, I was skeptical with these plants on arrival. They were dried out, there was minimal straw for moisture and I didn’t think I could save them. With no time to lose, I soaked them in water for 24 hours while I prepared a nursery for them. Using a garden oil pan and Ocean Forest potting soil with a compost of eggs and coffee grounds, 45 of the 47 (I ordered 40) are thriving and ready to be transplanted. My husband has been moving them from the kitchen table to the dining table for warmth and extra sun. We have 3 plants with flowers and one with a budding berry on the way. We are thrilled and ready to have a summer harvest with our grandchildren.
