Men’s Expedition Shoes are the best MTB shoes I’ve ever had!

Very Good shoe could be great

Overall very good shoe for XC MTB. Comfy out of the box with a sole that’s plenty stiff enough and good walkability for short hike-a-bikes. Definitely one of my favorite shoes for XC and gravel. I have a higher volume foot that doesn’t like most shoes that are more narrow fitting - these fit like normal shoes IMO. Plenty of room for my toes, but not overly wide - just right for me. If you have rocky hike a bikes I think these are better vs the Expedition Pros which have a carbon sole that could be more fragile than the composite. The sole on this is more built up with tread as well, but otherwise they have very similar fit and feel (less the dual boa which arguably provides a slightly better fit, but just barely). Two issues that a future version will hopefully address: 1) the tongue moves around. Fixed this by having a cobbler sew the tongue in place on the boa dial side, but this cost some extra $$. PI could easily address this with a loop on the tongue similar to the x-alp. And 2) the sole tread interferes with the XT pedal noticeable when clipping in or out. The tread is taller than the cleat. Remedy is to dremel some material away from the tread so you don’t have that problem. The second issue is not that big of a deal but the tongue issue is annoying.

Great show for narrow feet.

Quality and looks are great but way too narrow. I wear a 12 Ultra running shoe and 45. 0 was long enough but just way too narrow. I hate that as my bike is green and this is my color. any other day this would have been perfect
