Bucks® Ryder - 8" Black Zip-up CSA Steel-toe Work Boot

I wanted to purchase a pair of Canadian made work boots

I had decided to purchase a pair of Canadian made work boots. My wish list was for an 8" pull on work boot, preferably with welted construction so that they can be resoled n future. I checked websites of all Canadian makers, and found the only 8" pull on work boot is the Buck's Ryder. I ordered them despite their construction not being welted. The arrived today, and they are very attractive, very comfortable, and appear well made, and are true to size, and were in stock in my size. One caution --the soles appear to be soft and will scuff the floors, so don't wear them in the house. Looking forward to years of service from these. Another thing I learned in my search is that there are a few 10 and 11 inch Wellington style Pull-on work boots available with Canadian suppliers' names on them, but most are made offshore. My last work boot was one of those with the Timberland name on it. They were garbage -- the soles tore apart and are not repairable.

They are too heavy for me. Composite toe would be nice option.

Best experience one can only imagine. Allen was outstanding representative, who took his time to explain the difference and added the extra insoles Shoe size were exact and extremely comfortable right from the start which is rear in safety boots. I will buy these shoes over any of the “bluntstones” hands down.
